- When you pick cherries it is better to pick the cherry with the stalk on as the fruit does not bruise that way.
- Cherries grow from a spur or spike coming out from the branch. Try not to break this off as next year this spur or spike will grow longer and produce more cherries.
- Use a twisting motion when you break the cherry stalks off the bud and then place gently into your bucket.
